Quite the fickle son I have, it seems. First it was Hockey and now it's soccer. He's gone from running around on pieces of metal and busing his knees on the ice to running around on little spikes and scraping his knees on the grass. No fear, Stanley, I'm sure he'll be back to you once it cools down a bit. But for now I have to concern myself with skinned knees and sunburns. That Irish complexion is so delicate.
I'm proud of him.

I am reaping no benefits from that latest bout of madness, but I must say that I found it all .. rather relaxing.

The things these mortals think of. Kratos, I doubt anyone would have believed a century ago that you could have challenged my brother and I, let along kill us. Ah, but such is the world of games and entertainment. Belief, what use is there for it? Rest is more productive.

It SUCKS that we didn't win but canada's team has HOCKEY on it- kinda. dad says gods aren't allowed to leave the country, that's why we always go to colorado to vacation instead of greece or where grandpa Jack is from! Mom says maybe grandpa Jack will come to visit from Dublin in the summer maybe, but I heard Dad say that maybe me and mom will get to go there instead! hockey will be done then and dad can't come because he's a god and gods don't leave places.

[Olympians, excluding Ares]
All of the references to Hedone have disappeared from my textbooks, her image is gone from the pottery I keep. It isn't even in my copy that blasted piece of blasphemy I tried to publicize last year. My documents from my computer - everything is gone.
I find myself unable to recall her name at times, her face, and not in a manner that can be attributed to my anti-social nature.

My Iron Queen,
These are but trifles of the affection that I long to bestow on you when we are united.
I love you. I miss you.
Sincerely, Your husband

[Olympians]
I don't suppose anyone has given thought to how we will welcome our progenitors? I, for one, propose that some sort of guillotine be constructed for father, and a catapult for mother. His presence in this city is so repulsive, it snakes through everything and rots it all to the core. It stinks of old deadwood and dried blood.

My heart has not been healthy as of late. My lecture series isn't providing me its usual boost. Perhaps I will discuss my myth tomorrow in class. Lily say she doesn't care how old I am, I have to start eating cheerios.
This is all starting to get a bit dull. Perhaps a trip Below is in order.

Ah, the summer term. A bunch of bored mortals picking their noses while I tell them that love is nothing but a construct of the human instinct to procreate. One of them has a touch of Presence about her. Will investigate.

I hope you are all enjoying the flu. Call it a little homecoming present, something I dredged up from the Underworld to amuse us. Colorado was beautiful, we rented a little ranch an hour or so outside of Denver, did the tourist thing, too. I'd forgotten how large the Grand Canyon really is.
Nothing like wide open spaces to do a mind good. I hope you are all well, and I do mean all of you.
